Paragliding/hanggliding

Are you experienced and looking to explore hang gliding opportunities in Oppdal? Hovden (1125 m above sea level) is the perfect starting point.

  • Launch is available via the ski lift/gondola in both summer and winter (it’s also possible to hike up).
  • The main landing area is by the ski lift – please avoid using the main landing during the growing season (from when the snow has melted until mid-August). Instead, land to the east of the lift in this period.

Always be aware of airspace and safety – note: strong southerly winds may cause turbulence or wave activity.
