The lead vocalist of Dance With a Stranger has, over several decades, built a strong solo career and has become one of Norway’s most popular artists.

His ability to convey lyrics and melody with his completely unique voice was even described on Hver Gang Vi Møtes as “creating art on television.”

ELG also holds the title “Voice of the Century” after winning on TV2 – a title we believe is well deserved.

ELG is a family-oriented and socially engaged artist, raised in Kristiansund, where the weather plays a major role in everyday life.

This is reflected in several of the Norwegian-language songs on his latest album, “Ei merkelig tid” (A Strange Time).

On stage, he is better than ever, and the strong, down-to-earth lyrics in ELG’s musical universe are deeply appreciated by audiences.

An ELG concert features a solid selection of both original songs and audience favorites. New releases are continuously added and warmly welcomed by fans.

ELG is in a constant songwriting process, and in autumn 2022 he released the single “NEW”, this time in English.

During the summer season, ELG combines his solo concerts with performances by Dance With a Stranger, one of Norway’s best-selling bands of all time, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024.
