EVI Ski

EVI Ski was founded in 2011 by Endre Hals, who had previously produced and sold custom skis under the brand Prog. Based in Lønset, just outside Oppdal, EVI is currently Norway’s only manufacturer of alpine skis – offering an alternative to mass production with a focus on sustainability, circular design, and local craftsmanship.

Their ambition is clear: to build skis that last a lifetime. With a unique construction method and materials sourced from industrial waste streams, EVI enables both resale and reuse – making their “Repressed skis” the world’s first truly circular skis. These models, marked with a distinctive “G”, have been available since 2016.

All EVI skis are made to order in their local factory, ensuring no overproduction and minimal transport. Continuous evolution is at the heart of their product development. While EVI models evolve over time, Prog skis – also produced here – are fully customized to each skier.

From integrating recycled carbon fibre from decommissioned wind turbine blades, to using prepreg composite materials from local industry, EVI Ski represents a new era of eco-conscious ski manufacturing – firmly rooted in the mountains of Oppdal.
