Høgdepunkt is a guiding company that aims to create highlights for those who join their trips. They tailor experiences for both beginners and experienced participants, whether you want to learn new techniques for safe travel or join a spectacular summit tour. Here, you will experience mastery, enjoy nature, and share great moments with others. After a trip with Høgdepunkt, you will feel inspired and, not least, have memories for a lifetime!
Different Courses and Trips:
Summit Tour Course: A course for those who have just purchased backcountry touring equipment and want to learn the basics of ski touring. You will learn aspects such as trip planning, map and compass, how to make a good ascent track, group skiing patterns, avalanche terrain, terrain traps, and basic knowledge of snow and snow conditions.
Avalanche Course: A course for those who want to learn more about avalanche terrain, snow cover, and avalanches, and how to find the safest snow. You will gain an extended understanding of safe travel, enabling you to plan and execute summit tours safely.
Guided Tour: Høgdepunkt offers guided tours to mountains such as Trolltind, Fløtatind, Litlskjorta, Åbittind, Dronningkrona, Kongskrona, Skjorta, Storhaugen, and Storbekkhøa.
Private Course: Under development.

Høgdepunkt is run by Knut Petter Høgvoll. He is a trained outdoor educator and has four years of experience as an outdoor education teacher. He is currently qualifying as a Nortind Ski Guide. Knut wants to share the knowledge and experience he has gained from the mountains – together, you can handle everything from trip planning to execution to achieve your goals. Whether your goal is a specific summit, learning a new skill, or gaining more knowledge about avalanches and safe travel in avalanche terrain, Knut is on your team to help.
