Ishol Climbing Area by the Driva River, near Lønset, is Oppdal’s oldest climbing area and a popular destination for climbers of all experience levels.

The crag offers a variety of routes graded from 4 to 8a+, and is equipped with bolted routes, a fire pit, and parking. The south-facing walls dry quickly, and the climbing season often starts around Easter. This makes Ishol ideal for spring climbing in scenic surroundings.

Season: Easter to October

Difficulty: From beginner to expert (4–8a+)

Facilities: Bolted routes, fire pit, and parking

Practical information: Bring your own gear and, if possible, climb with someone experienced in outdoor climbing.
