Pilgrim Village Oppdal is a collaboration between three actors who all work actively to promote the pilgrimage movement in Oppdal.
These are the Oppdal Pilgrimage Committee, the St. Olav Pilgrim Fellowship Oppdal, and Pilgrim Centre Dovrefjell. In addition, both the municipality and the church work with pilgrimage-related activities, ranging from trail marking and maintenance to confirmation pilgrimages, and more.
The Oppdal Pilgrimage Committee is an event committee that each year organizes the Pilgrimage Days in Oppdal in mid-July. The committee consists of representatives from the church, the municipality, cultural life, and others, and is currently led by Ivar Horvli. The Pilgrimage Days in Oppdal are part of the Pilgrimage Days on Dovrefjell and have their own website for events:

The St. Olav Pilgrim Fellowship, Oppdal is a “friends’ association” for everyone interested in pilgrimages. The fellowship organizes trips, walks, and pilgrimage evenings. Anyone interested can become a member and take part in activities and events as a volunteer or participant. More about the pilgrim fellowships can be found here:

Pilgrim Centre Dovrefjell has its office at Hjerkinn with one employee covering the municipalities of Dovre, Oppdal, Rennebu, and Orkland. The centre’s role is to contribute to value creation and positive development along the pilgrimage route by increasing its use. It works together with Oppdal municipality to ensure a well-marked trail through the municipality and with others who can help increase interest in pilgrimage hiking.
The Gudbrandsdalsleden pilgrimage route, which passes through Oppdal municipality, starts in Oslo and ends at Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, the destination for long-distance pilgrims. More information about the Pilgrim Centre and how to plan a pilgrimage can be found here:
