Svarthaugen, a child-friendly short trip from Snøve.

Directions: From the city centre, follow the E6 southwards for 2.7 km. Turn right at the sign for Vollan. The road goes over the river and up past Vollan school. Turn left at the intersection and follow the road up to the parking lot. Here there is plenty of space for parking and a small parking fee.

From the car park, follow the road up approx. 50 meters before you turn off the carriage road at a slope up to the right. Continue approx. 400 meters through an idyllic aspen forest and just below Fellesesteren, you turn right and follow the sign marked Svarthaugen. Further, follow a well-marked path up through the forest and after 2 km of walking, you are at the forest border, which here is approx. 900 m. The last 500 meters go downhill in a northwesterly direction towards the summit. Here there is a large cairn with a cairn box.

The trip up to Svarthaugen is also nice with skis or snowshoes in winter.
