The Trollheimen Triangle Trail – 28–30 August 2026
(The trip is fully booked, but it is possible to join the waiting list. We may organise additional cars if there is enough interest.)
The hike consists of three stages. We plan to start the journey on Friday morning from Gjevilvasshytta and hike to Jøldalshytta (21 km). We will spend the night there before continuing on Saturday to Trollheimshytta (18 km).
The final stage takes us back to Gjevilvasshytta (21 km), where you can choose either to drive home on Sunday evening or stay for one final night.
The route is classified by DNT as a demanding/very demanding summer trail, so be prepared for long days and plenty of hiking.
Accommodation includes a three-course dinner, breakfast, and the option to prepare a packed lunch. This makes the price slightly higher than a standard DNT cabin stay, but you get excellent value for your money.
The price per night is:
- NOK 680 for DNT members
- NOK 970 for non-members
A DNT membership costs NOK 365 per year, so it is well worth considering.
