Våttåhaugan 984 m above sea level – with a view over the whole of Oppdal.
Tour start from Kåsen Parking at the industrial area in Oppdal. This trip is best suited as a hike in both summer and winter. It can also be recommended as a snowshoe trip in winter. There is a clear and well-marked path all the way up. From Våttåhaugan there is a good view of the city center and the mountains that surround Oppdal.
Worth knowing: The cabin on Våttåhaugan is, together with the mast on "Bergje", characteristics that we pay attention to. The cabin was built in 1955-56 by Ola Bøe and Sivert Mjøen. Both traveled a year later (1957) to Canada to work. Ola returned after a couple of years of work, while Sivert stayed and established himself in Canada. They owned the cabin together for several decades before the Bøe family took over. The cabin was originally an old bow that was rebuilt on Våttåhaugan and later built on. The cabin was later sold and in 2015 was part of the TV program "Eventyrlig oppussing" on TV3.
